android will never be better than the iphone. and with wp7 microsoft went after the competition =iphone. everybody is all over android bc its new, to me it just seems like a finger friendly windows mobile with a couple alright games. theres nothing groundbreaking about it. now when you look at those 3d games for wp7, now thats groundbreaking. honestly i think android will suffer the same fate as windows mobile. and windows mobile is dead but windows phone 7 will be the frankenstein of ppc's

Well too bad for all you guys, when you buy an iPhone, you also have to exchange it for your left nut... You might as well call the iPhone the Apple shock collar, it's always telling you what you can, and more often CAN'T do. |

I never said i was buying an iphone. I am stating that W7 will not likely make a dent in the iphone market and Android is rising fast. I think windows mobile is missing a great opportunity to recreate their image. Based on what we have seen so far i am just disappointed.

I need winmo for business use - folks rarely talk about it, but my BIGGEST beef with Android or OS3/4 is the email attachment handling. I receive excel or word attachments all the time and need to view those suckers on my phone. Can't do it with Android or OS3/4. How about accepting a meeting? Ever tried that using exchange over android? Not easy, you have to accept it from your calendar, which is dumb -frustrating if the meeting is in the future, you have to navigate to the specific date to accept the meeting. Now, where android beats the socks off of Winmo or OS 3/4 is that it is OPEN SOURCE. Compare the original release of Android to 2.1 and you'll appreciate the speed at which android is progressing. Apple or Microsoft will never be able to keep up with the pace of open source development and enhancement. Winmo 7 might be great- maybe even the best - for 3 months, then android will surpass it, remaining better for the next 1-2 years while Microsoft is working on Winmo 8. Use mackies compilation for now there is very little difference from the one that is on the first part of the thread and mackies is an all in one build.
