I am having the same problem on my TP2 from Sprint. I've tried the builds from 5/13 and 5/14 several times. I've redownloaded them and re-copied them to my SD card several times. I even cleaned off all of the Android stuff from my card then defragged it. I still get stuck in a loop ending at the KLINUX and HTC screen. It then reboots and comes up to the KLINUX and Hero screen, the little green guy peaks around the letters and then it goes to the HTC screen for a minute or two before another reboot. I left it alone in the cycle for about 30 minutes before I gave up and started trying other things. I' just got my TP2 and I'd love to make it a dual boot phone, but since I'm a noob, I just have to patiently wait for the gurus to resolve this. You guys totall rock! =D>=D>

FYI, I've tried all of Cliff's versions - 5-12 through 5-14 and the result is the same for the TP2. It gets stuck in a reboot loop as described above.

Sense05-14-10.zip

This file unzips in to an 'andbootS' folder. So just unzip in to the root of your MicroSD card. If you want to run it with all the files in the root or in a different folder you must change to startup.txt file and remove or edit the rel_path line.

Keep in mind that this build takes much longer than the AOSP builds on the first boot and subsequent boots. Patience is your best friend on the first boot. If you see any force closes with to option to wait then select wait.

As always, please read the first page of this thread before posting questions.
upon visiting the market, the screen went back to that HTC / Hero display.
It rebooted... but not all the way back to WinMO.
I suppose the SENSE part restarted.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 4-20-2010

I had this problem as well. What I did to get it to work was to delete the extra Startup.txt that was on the root of my SD card from a prior installation of Android. I hope this helps you.

It'd be great not to have to hit "force close" ever again.

Adjust backlight in Windows Mobile before launching haret - UNCHECK 'Automatically adjust backlight'

So the light isn't completely off but the screen is black. Will this drain the battery more or is this normal? Oh yeah, I have already followed the instructions on the 1st page about the backlight settings in windows with the whole uncheck the automatically adjust backlight option. Thanks.

how about you make your own ?
1) go to your android folder, copy the Haret.exe file (by holding on it till you get the menu)
2) go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs then press Menu.. Edit.. Paste Shortcut
3) Rename it to whatever you want it to be called

done... easy right ?
