Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-31-2010

Mackie,

Do you have any idea why my phone keeps crashing with the latest 4.1.2010_b?
This is the first time I have had a problem with any of you all in one.
Thank you!

It is spposed to enable hardware 3d acceleration. Not sure if it works properly. If enabled, the nexus logo on start up doesn't show. This feature is still in experimental mode.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-31-2010

Ahh I was wondering what caused the nexus one logo not to show up...

So I am trying out the new zImage and module files right now. I plugged my phone into my computer using USB, and it displayed the little charging icon in the notifications window. The battery status is showing up at only 11%, but at least it is supposedly charging. No promises if it's actually charging though - I will run it all day and then switch back to WinMo tonight and let you know.

About the charging... I wouldn't plug it in for longer period of time. Since the power management doesnt work, there may be a chance to overcharge and it may fry the circuits. I haven't heard it happen, and the hardware is also supposed to have the overcharge prevention circuits, so we should be safe. But no one knows for sure yet.

WOW! I still feel like a noob, but I got this to install and work as described. Thanks to all the developers and helpers who got this thing going. It will take a little getting used to, but I am hooked on Android now! Thanks Everyone! Can't wait for the HTC EVO to be released...

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-31-2010

Cflynt i still can't get data working, can't stop this thing from rebooting, and like i said the new rootfs makes it reboot alot more, now after i tried the old rootfs then back to the new one, its not as bad, i get like 2 or 3 mins of use before a reboot, the other issue is when i change the apn settings to try something else thats when it reboots, specially if i touch the MNC MCC settings, clicking on that is like pushing the reset button lol
and one other thing, if it doesn't reboot for some reason, the APN will get deleted and i have to start over (the list will be cleared, i have to add a new one or use the restore default button to get the default one.

Mike I don't have any rebooting issues. And I don't have much in the way of expertise, but could your problem be a SD card issue? Maybe replace or reformat it. I'm just throwing that possibility out there... Like I said I don't claim to know much about this stuff, I just lurk around here, trying to keep myself out of trouble.

thanks for the help jim but the issue is related to being flashed on metropcs, not the phone or sd, a few pages back or when the new package first came out we were talking about that, i was just trying different things to get data workin for those of us on metro and tryin to isolate the rebooting problem

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-31-2010

So is anyone having any luck with my ANDROID 04.01.10_B all in one package? From the PM's I am getting, seems a few are having issues. Please report . I do not need "my sound isn't working" or "my battery isn't charging". I am just looking for overall functionality for what currently works.

Thanks
