This is a really cool project. I am anxious for you guys to get around to getting the sound working.

Great work so far, looking forward to the next build.

Second, if you have the files in the andboot folder, make sure the rel_path=andboot in the setup.txt is correct or add it. I would guess, since it is linux based, it is probably case sensitive.

Third, move the rootfs back into the root of the andboot folder.

Fourth, make sure you replace the initrd file with the latest initrd.gz file. That is in the FAQ on the first page of this thread (but I missed it the first time too.)

After replacing that file mine booted up just fine.
Thanks for the info but this has been reported numerous times and if your using my all in one package, it specifically says to throw all files and folders into the root.

Baks;

Couple of things that could be wrong:

It's an IMG file. some of these builds have it 7-zipped up or win rar'd. you have to extract it. also you have to use 7-zip or win rar to extract it. I have heard that regular Winzip won't do it. Not enough compression. something like that any ways.
Also, look at how much space is on your micro card. must have at least half a gig free to create the DATA.img file. It's 256MB but still better to be safe than getting banged in this forum for asking a Lurker question.

some of these builds have goofy extentions on their rootfs files. Just rename it rootfs after you have extracted it and see what happens.

HTH

BILL

Mackie, I know it does. But, since when have us geeks ever been able to follow instructions?

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-23-2010

Ok, I installed the most current full version (and yes Mackie, all on the root ) And it is working great on the TP2. The only thing that I did notice is that the physical keyboard is not mapped correctly on the function keys. So what should be a "/" put is a "+". A "!" is putting in a ":". Is there a way to manualy remap these?

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-23-2010

I'm appreciative of all dev's that are working on this...I do have an opinion question for y'all...

what's the chances of an actual working ROM that we can flash to our TP2's without any bits of winmo running in the background at all??

Will we see one prior to Evo dropping on us later this year??

I'm curious to see how our TP2's can perform running Android only...
