Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-23-2010
A little off topic but my wife works for US cell and they are in the final stages of testing the HTC Desire running Android. With US cell getting on board any remaining issues with data and what not should be just a step away.
I just love my TP2 too much and we are so close to a fully functional dual boot TP2 I can taste it. |

Works here, but if not in post #3 there are some prebuilt packages you can use and then just update the kernel if it isn't already the latest. Those prebuilt packages come from a different source than the XDAndroid build.

Are you using a port onto a Touch Pro 2 or a real phone? If a real phone you don't need to enable the market.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 3-23-2010
Anybody seen this problem yet? I have a softkey-keyboard that loads up once I run haret, and is in the bootloader screeen, and stays there after android is fully booted. It's an overlay, meaning I can still drag down on the menu behind it, or tap on things that are under it.
Was working prior to adding overclock and 3d enable lines to startup.txt. Deleting data.img did not solve. *EDIT* Tried removing the 2 new entries in my system.txt file, and no joy. Am running the latest xdandroid downloaded from first page. Am now wiping SD card, and reloading everything. Now the keyboard is gone. Curious. Any thoughts? Was it the overclock that threw it for a loop? Would like a snappier interface, but wanted to find out if anybody else had this issue. Thanks.

But lo and behold, my network was working and i was even on 3g, but all of a sudden i lost connection. Going into the "search for networks" just results in a FOREVER spinning circle. Any help?

Mind you I haven't installed many paid apps, but one in particular, Beautiful Widgets, I purchased and it installed fine and ran. I didn't change the MCN #, I used the same one Verizon was using and all worked fine, maybe try that.

Some of these options are for debuggind as well as things not fully implemented yet. But it was asked for so I thought I would throw it in the FAQ for ya. But keep in mind these aren't fixes by any means just different ways to configure and test things. And some of them not working yet. Any of these switches can be anywhere in your cmdline as long as they aren't the last switch. The "physkeyboard=" switch has to be your last switch. Turn off on-screen debug keyboard - msmvkeyb_toggle=off |
