Has anybody else experienced the brightness dimming on its own? I always have Automatic brightness Unchecked and have the brightness slider set to 100%, but sometimes the phone goes really dim on its own (not the screen timeout) and when i go back into the display settings it still shows 100% on the slider but i have to move the slider to the left and back to the right to actually get the screen to go back to 100% brightness.

Well I finally made the plunge. Following the directions, I used Reference, all went well but I did have to manually load the startup utility. It took a couple of tries with startup.txt, placing force_cdma=1 in order to get my service to work. Once I downloaded the Startup Utility, it has the option to force CDMA on. Also took several tries to get Wifi Hotspot (tethering) to function. Found that turning on Wifi first then the Hotspot it would work, even though it then turns off Wifi. The phone was very fast until I loaded it up with apps. Using Fancy Widget for the HTC Clock and that slow down bootup and possible slowed the phone down. I have had the Wifi Tethering on for over 3 hours while using the phone apps and Wifi with no great battery drain. A great surprise from what everyone else has stated. My computer will not recognize the phone (can’t find driver) even though it does charge it. Three thing that I have found not working are known (mic with speaker phone, camera, Bluetooth and only getting free apps in the Market. I know there is a fix for it but can’t find it now.) What a great job everyone has done, donation coming. I would use this full time but need to use Bluetooth. In at least eight hours of use it has been very stable.

The GPS lock takes a few minutes at first, then they are much quicker. Just let Google Maps sit there and after about 5 minutes it will get a lock.

I heard it also helps if your aGps data has been recently updated in the WinMO side (still looking for an app to update aGps data on the Android side)
