Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Hey, those of you on US Cellular (and possible MetroPCS) there is a solution to get data working.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=113441 See Page 8 (post #79 by eval-) and Page 9 (post #86 by me for an alternate method less technical, but more steps) Thanks eval- and others who provided this solution. It is my understanding that the rootfs.img file will be updated down the road so we will not need jump through the hoops too much longer. PS very happy to see this thread reopened. =D>

I am looking forward to checking this out over the next couple of days. One quick q: Is it tether over wi-fi only, or does it also include support for tether over usb (i.e., so that one can use phone as modem and have direct connection between computer and internet (and ip address assigned directly to computer from carrier))? Thanks again, and great work. |

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
I need to replace my data.img file but can't seem to find a download with it. Seems like all the new downloads are missing it. Anybody know where I can download?

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
I was thinking about trying to load Android on my Sprint TP2. Is there any chance that it can brick the phone? I am assuming the chance isn't that high because it is running through WinMo?
Also, if I do install it, will I need to remove the SIM card or is that workaround just for USCellular people? Thanks and sorry for my noob questions... ![]() |
