Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2

Read a few pages and didnt see any comments on "Add external.rhod_speaker=1" Does this mean we have external audio?

*EDIT*

external.rhod_speaker=1 option <- Works, speaker pops and hisses, as expected. (x2. You can't even hear what the speaker is playing, but the speaker is definitely putting out noise <- I am able to hear people talk when using it for speakerphone though they cannot hear me)

What do you mean it worked for you? Are you hearing sound when playing music, etc. Or merely that your heard this hiss/pops until after hanging up speakerphone after which you heard no more sound at all?

I found this comment kind of funny...The user is saying he was able to get the phone to stop hissing after making a call. He thought this was a good thing. In reality this is a bad thing. The hissing noise is there because the devs are trying to get sound working. There is supposed to be a parameter in the statup that tells android whether you want the speaker enabled or not.

So now on to what the user did find...a bug...If the hissing did go away after a call it indicates that after the speaker was disabled during the phone call it was not properly reinitialized when the call was ended.
