Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2

I went ahead and installed the latest files over to a fresh SD card and will use that for the meeting. I believe some of the issues stem from having the Android stuff mixed on the storage card with my WM files. I am up & running again, and in all honesty, it doesn't take that long to reinstall the apps & widgets I had before, plus the screen is much more accurate, which saves time too!

Thanks for your suggestions though!

Just an update. I just through on kernel Build: htc-msm-android@20100320_225430

I was excited when it said "Speed:very smooth x2" as one the jerky scrolling bothers me ( like speeeed mannnn!).

It does seem a little bit snapier and the scrolling lag (overall) has improved. The speed of that main bottom slide up menu thing (whats that called?) is A LOT faster. Scrolling inside it was a little better as well.

Good update, I havent tried the wifi teathering yet, I'll test that out sometime but everyone is saying it works fine.

I love this project because of all the little updates that come out. I get to see it get a little better everyday.

I have a separate thread for it.

This is to reduce the activity in this thread since this is really only a development thread.

Thanks

Tried to fix it for couple of days, then I gave up I ended up reformat the whole card (just to be sure) and copied the fresh copies of all the files onto it. Now everything work fine so I cross my fingers that it will not happen again (it happen for no good reason at all, one minute it work the next it went poof). I think it may have something to do with your card (something along the line of cannot get read/write access to the card for some reason)

I think it was SD card as it happened to me yesterday, I just backed up my SD card, reformatted and all was well after that. Not to raise any worries, but right before it started acting up, I tried to test out the charging and BAM! no more booting. (*I left it plugged in before launching heret) I noticed some errors saying something along the lines of "not going to repair this" and "boot sectors not matching".

Owell, it's all good now and lovin the new modules and Zimage from the 20th.

Sounds like you messed up the calibration screen.

Were you able to tap lightly on the five small squares that popped up on the screen previous to the Android screen?

I messed up when calibrating the Touchscreen, how can I redo it?
To reset the calibration and setup again just boot back into Windows Mobile and delete the ts-calibration file, usually in the root of your Storage Card. Next boot into Android should prompt you to set the calibration again.
