If anyone knows what else I can do to get incoming calls working, please let me know.

The term "in development" should tell you not everything is gonna work correctly at this time.

solved by removing the stock sim card behind the battery.

There are directions under the battery on how to remove the card with your stylus. Once i removed it and booted, android said "registered to the network". Dunno what changed though, since i was able to make voice calls before even with the error message...

to avoid taking out the sim card, just switch from global mode to cdma only before you start android (phone->menu->options->network tab->choose cdma only), then start android. It worked for me, hope it does for everybody else.

the "select automatically" option is for connecting to a cellular network. Once you connect to that, all you will be able to do is make/receive phone calls as the cellular data connection hasn't been figured out yet.

However, the second part you said is the problem i'm having. My android tp2 isn't picking up any wireless routers and i've tried in multiple different locations. Do you see any networks or just not yours (assuming there are other networks in range)?

I was thinking about trying out the gsm version of android for tp2. I know its probably the same wifi driver/settings but i thought i'd give it a shot. Will running the gsm version cause damage to my cdma phone? Honestly, i'd rather have a data connection than the ability to make/receive phone calls.

i use wpa security on my wireless router...i joined the network in wm and left the wifi on when started android and it joined the network just fine in android...hope this helps someone.

first, remove your sim card (using your stylus), then start phone, and make a phone call to vmail and start android. Once in android, go thru the steps again of registering the network. Done. Also, when you make the first call in android, you will have to press the volume key to get audio from the ear-speaker while in the call, and then you can hear the caller and the caller should hear you. Hope it helps.

Thanks. I tried it but could not make a call or register a cellular network. In the task bar it showed a symbol of a sim card with an "!" on it.

That's actually a good question -- I assume if you use the standard xdandroid package, the gsm radio will work, but I'm not sure anyone has tested it. Give it a shot and report back.

You might want to grab the startup.txt from 95-civic's package; I don't know if the Rhodium one included with xdandroid is different or not.
