Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
It seems the thread has gotten off-topic that it is now about collaboration boards. Collaboration boards are great, maybe so great we should open a new thread to talk about them and let this one get back to updates about the actuall thing thats supposed to be collaborated on. And enough with the posts like "This is great, can't wait". Theres like 400 of those.. What would be great is an actual update from the guy..

I agree with above statement, but you know what? I am really surprised Google hasn't joined in on some of the porting work. I mean seriously, they obviously have the resources to pursue it, they would be able to make it more public, would look great on their part for helping out the community. And not to mention, they could make money off of selling programs to us on the marketplace, so there is their incentive. Plus how big a smack in the face to ms would it be to showcase number of downloads of people converting their winmo phones to android?

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
HTC is currently in good terms with both Microsoft and Google. If google were to take steps to convert a Microsoft phone into an android phone it could spark problems for HTC. I can bet that google needs permission from the hardware company before it would ever touch porting to it (if not only to avoid potential legal trouble) Google is better off consentrating on porting android to approved devices...

It is also possible they were just out at the time you got yours, and due to other TP's being refurbed, now they have them again. Not to mention how many TP's would they have now with a TP2 going out, and a TP coming back?

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
same problem but im on metro and it just wont connect, doesnt even find any CDMA networks. is ur phone fully unlocked? mine is and im thinking that might have something to do with it. one thing i noticed is that while booting, it says CDMA phone found, on the TP1 it says GSM phone found and works fine without any issues connecting to the network. funny since the sprint tp1 is cdma only lol. for some reason it looks like its not finding the cdma radio or something, and i did try all radios available
