It is using the vzw network for your voice calls, you can even dial *228 for programming and it will program your phone... doesn't do anything though. You are seeing "Green Service Vodaphone NL" in Android most likely.
From what I can tell is that the Android OS doesn't have the ability right now for us to define the SMS service center phone number that is used on a CDMA network to send SMS. On GSM its all stored in the SIM Card and its not in our international SIMs.

Even with everything else on my card, I was able to get Android to boot, and was able to navigate thru the menus! I was not able to get a data connection, and I was having too much fun screwing around to try to make a call...

Ok I was able to make a call on the Sprint network. The call did go thru and was answered but I was not able to hear, or talk to the person I called...

We are getting there!
