Is there a particular software that should be used to format it (other than just a fat32 format via windows)?

I'm on Verizon and I just used the latest build that was linked in the first post.

The start.txt was already edited so I didn't have to change anything.

I'm running the latest MightyROM.

I formatted my card in the phone when I first got it, but haven't formatted it since.

What type of SD card are you using? I've heard of reports of people having trouble with Kingston cards. I'm using a Sandisk.

There is a live version of android you can test on the desktop. Just run it in a virtual machine software. It's kind of hard to use on the desktop, but gives some idea: http://code.google.com/p/live-android/downloads/list

I am mainly interested in android because of the Webkit based browser. The only Webkit browser for WM is IrisBrowser, but they stopped development.

Well, they stopped for WM at least. Iris got bought by RIM to finally develop a browser for BlackBerry that's actually useful.

Try a different SD card, others in this thread had the same problem and solved it with a different brand of SD card.

Uploaded the build with a few changes. If you have the old build, you can refer to the Topaz thread and replace the files yourself

Basically make a call to Vmail and while connected to Vmail run Haret
Your phone will reboot into Android and you will have calling with audio.
Ringtones/external speakers still dont work so vibrate is all you get.
All keys work except FN and the arrow keys

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50301; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

also if you have speakerphone on when loading haret all your calls will be in speakerphone. but the speakers still wont play music.
