There's many ways/options/apps. Easiest IMHO is Titanium Backup, on the Market.

However, there's no "right" or "wrong" way to backup Android. Main thing I love about open source - choice...

I prefer anttek's app manager for backup, but it's not much easier than downloading it from market since you have to install them manually, no batch restore :S

Well I suppose if you put them in the auto installer folder it wouldn't be too bad, I just haven't gotten around to using it/learning to :S

Unless you're constantly pressing buttons, I don't see how your phone sitting in your pocket is any different from your phone sitting on the desk...

It doesn't happen on WM... I am not pressing any buttons; it gets hot and battery goes down very fast...

Well, WM was designed for the phone. To say our port will be 100% feature complete and perfect is preposterous - the amount of reverse engineering that has already gone into this port is absolutely insane.

All I can suggest is turn on sleep debugging and make sure the device is actually sleeping.

Edit - hint on sleep debugging... XdaLedRegime.apk in AndroidApps\Other...

have you gotten the XdaLedRegime to work? It doesn't work for me, I can install it and run it, after applying it i see no effect, and it resets to no options after a reboot

It's always worked great for me... It's a quite simple app, it doesn't really do much other than echo the commands, which you can do yourself I guess.

Reboots will cause it to go back to default. It has been a while since I've tried it... perhaps something changed, I dunno.

Sorry if this is a little OT, I just thought it may help some users. I've always used the default launcher with the android "ports", on a whim I decided to try go launcher ex and I've got to say its fan-damn-tastic. One major thing it does is nullify an app cache cleaner, just go into the app tray>running>close all programs. This not only kills all open apps but also clears app cache. On a side note arrrghhh I gave up on trying to get sdk/adb in winblows so I added ubuntu11.10. This is on my wife's old HP mini 110 and while I can see my device with, $ lsusb ,in the terminal but when, $ ./adb devices ,all i get is 0's.
