I tried it with FRX06, and eventually it did seem to settle out - but the first few boots were FC city. I don't really see any tangible benefits - I know neopeek listed some, but I don't really think they're worth the effort. No offense to his efforts, he obviously worked hard to get it working... but it seems like a lot of work for very little reward. Using a GUI recovery like CWM becomes necessary with NAND, but I don't see the point on SD card installs. To each their own. |

Re: ClockworkMod Recovery [Released]
How do you install a new completely different build (example going from CherryPie to Gingerbread)? Can I just run the gingerbread zip from my SD card or do I have to completely wipe all 4 partitions somehow? I'm getting an installation stopped/aborted trying to install different builds.

It's in the menu options, can't remember the exact sequence but yea... format data and sys if you're switching builds. If you're just upgrading a build, I would imagine you can keep data and just wipe the system partition. |

Seriously tho, formatting data and sys will start over. Wipe them clean. So anything from your current build will be gone, bulldozed - so you can then install a new build. |

Re: ClockworkMod Recovery [Released]
I'm sure you already know this but, backup your current build using CWM before you clear the data and system partitions. If you don't like the new build, clear the partitions again and restore the good build. Very easy to do.
