Re: [BUILD] **Complete Froyo Bundle!!** FRX04 - "Stable"

I tried the cab and installed both NET Core and Net Frameworks 3.7, but the bootup screen stales and doesn't do anything right away... I installed everything to (Except for Net Core and Net Frameworks 3.7) the storage card and see it all there in andboot... I have the T7380 with the sim card taken out. I left it sitting there for almost an hour and cameback to a flashing XDANDROID screen with the animated logo.. Nothing would wake from that screen and I had to reset my device I'm using BLAZN...

Do I need to install Net Core and Net Frameworks 3.7 to the storage card, also am I selecting the right model Rhod400 for Sprint Touch Pro2 World Phone (T7380) plus Gen Y Boot says Android Missing every time I boot and it loads the screen.
_

This new zip file do I need to extract it all onto my storage card no folder or extract it all to a folder on the storage card called XDANDROID or whatever?

Can someone please help!

Please read the first post... It walks you thru what to do and how to configure it.

I removed the stuff about the cab, as I didn't attach a cab...

Step #2...

Okay I'll read it, so I guess I should uninstall this other cab and startuputility. Just a simple clearification, copy the whole folder to root? Right

Sometimes rooting confuses me (I guess my dsylexia haha!) but some people mean copying the contents of whats inside a folder to the root and sometimes some people mean copying the whole folder.

Well you can copy the whole folder - but you'll have to adjust the rel_path statement if Android isn't at the root of the SD. I addressed this in the first post as well... I tried to be thorough, but sometimes I don't always word things well. If you feel something is missing, or should be changed to make more sense let me know. Thanks!

Forgot to answer your question about the cab - I would uninstall it, but assuming your SD card is formatted clean you shouldn't *need* to. Up to you really.

I actually remember trying this one last night and all I got when I clicked harLET.exe was a huge popup with a run thing/cmd I guess that said default.txt and that was it. I deleted all the start up's but rhodium and nothing... Which is what lead me to going back to the cab'ed version and trying it again.

Can I overclock this version and do I need a startuputility? I saw no common F.A.Q.'s

We have an FAQ... Granted, it is still a work in progress, but it's getting there.

You can overclock, but you have to do it by hand if you don't use the startup utility. I do not support the startup utility, but I guess I should link to it...

Did you move the startup.txt file to where you run haret.exe from?

Step 3...

If you want to change the location of the build, put a rel_path= statement in the cmdline section of the startup.txt. Mine is located two folders deep on the SD, so my rel_path=Androids/TP2Ref)

I keep getting tons of I/O errors after running haret. I have everything on the root of my SD card and even tried formatting the sd card to FAT32. Should I be formatting it to something else?

I did read your post, thanks (otherwise I would have been completely lost!).

As I mentioned, I tried setting this up with using just the USB Drivers from your post (I've attached a picture of them on my PC so you can see the names/dates/versions of them), then tried installing Droid Explorer. When those didn't work, I formatted my SD Card, installed a fresh version of FRX04, and connected it via USB cable to my laptop as soon as it settled after the boot. Windows Vista detects the phone, and the phone shows USB debugging connected and USB connected on the status bar. Windows then asks for a driver for the XDA, but when I point it to the USB Drivers folder, it reports that it can't locate a driver there. The same thing happens with the CDC ACM & CDC ACM Data. Any ideas? ](*,)

No...FAT32 works great for every build I've ever done. Are you using the HP tool to format the card? It's recommended by most people, although I've never had a problem with doing it under Windows. Another thing to keep in mind is that the class of the SD card seems to make some difference, although I can't recall what category (IV?) it should be for best performance. Have you been able to run any of the other builds successfully without getting I/O errors?

Do you have every file at the root, i.e. startup.txt, haret, modules, zimage, system.ext2, etc? Or are they still in a folder that at root? Wherever haret is, you need to have your startup.txt file and depending on where that is, you may need to add a line to your startup.txt file.
