Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/4/11 New Kernel - Minor Fixes...

I have the same thoughts at ndno. Which kernel to test? Wistilts or jonprys? I like to test for a few days before reporting back, but with two testing kerenels up, I don't know which one to stick with. This is actually a good problem. Two great devs offering up some great new fixes! I just wish I could test both better.

Yea, WisTilt2 wanted to keep the scbs code separate for the time being - I hear the batt algos that jonpry's stuff creates is very good... assuming it all gets merged to autobuild in the end, testing kernels are for just that - testing.

I'd run jonpry's for a few days maybe a week and see how good of an algo you can create. I'm pretty sure you can only apply the algo to his kernel, unfortunately.

Wow, I like jonpry's kernel for the accurate battery meter but the panel wakeup time on that kernel is relatively slow (2-3 seconds for me). I wish he can merge his battery meter patches with this current kernel. Anyways I have been having great stability with jonpry's or this kernel; no reboot or Sod whatever! Most solid I've experienced!

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/4/11 New Kernel - Minor Fixes...

Hey all,

Currently running the 4/4 kernel and all is going well. Seems very stable and wakes are quite fast and have only had one or two failed wakes so far today.

However, I am experiencing an "insufficient storage memory" when attempting to install apps from the market.

Is there a way to increase the amount of space that Android has access to?

I don't see what this has to do with this kernel....

But this thread has a snazzy Windows utility to expand the data.img..

2.35 Radio has been causing lock-ups, went back to 2.32 and everything is smooth again.
