Hmmm..., his carrier is "Orange Romania". Don't know what/where (I guess Romania) that is but I doubt if he should use any of the Sprint or Verizon radio firmware. Looks like he has a RDOD500 though, which is Verizon.

Biroka, are you using your phone in GSM mode? The radio firmware mentioned by Recursion is for CDMA and is for Sprint or Verizon only.

Thanks in advance!
As stated, post in the regular TP2 forum & you'll get your answers. As also stated, be careful that you're flashing the correct radio for your phone, otherwise you might BRICK your phone.

Yeah I saw that after I posted, not too sure since it's a VZW phone that he is prob using unlocked on GSM.

and as far as radios, just flashed back to winmo and I'm on 2.32 which is the radio I've been on for at least the past 6+ months if not longer and was still having issues with the airave. Things were better since using the test RIL but I've given up on that for now, so I'll see how things are with just the kernel and the airave.

You should hop on IRC more often. I find myself constantly thinking of things I need to ask you/talk to you about .

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/4/11 New Kernel - Minor Fixes...

Hmmm... voice comm on my TP2 the last few days have been very flaky; I have a lot dropped calls and failed calls. Data works fine though. Never had this problem. Went back to WinMo and same issue. Only thing I can think different is using jonpry's SBCS kernel and leaving it charged overnight a couple times.

Or there's people chopping down towers with axes in your hood.

If WinMo is the same way, not an Android problem mang... I haven't had this experience.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/4/11 New Kernel - Minor Fixes...

OK, I must have done something wrong to my phone. I believe I ran a PRL update last week. For those on Sprint, what PRL version are you guys at? I'm at 60677. I know with Vin's ROM, you can go back to a previous PRL version; any chance anyone knows where I can find an older PRL version? With exception of the NAND thread, this forum is like a ghost town... so I'll just post off topic stuff, j/k.

EDIT: Nevermind, found the PRL thread here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...23-2011-a.html. I'm going to go back to the previous version... Seems like my TP2 went south with voice comm after the PRL update last week.

Repository of the old PRLs here: http://cid-eabe29f3770d8d15.skydrive...x/.Public/PRLs

EDIT: OK, I'm back to 60675... will see if it's better.

I have a Verizon TP2 phone and using it in GSM network. The problem is since kernel htc-msm-linux @ 20110214_200559, including this one too. When the phone goes to sleep, it turns off the radio signal.
