Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!

Just had a reset back to Android and then back to Windows..was browsing these forums on Tapatalk Pro and followed a link to PPCGeeks that opened up an Opera Mini browser. Pressed the hard back key and it froze, screen went black and a "_" flashed in the very upper left of it and then the flying 'Droids began their painting dance. Otherwise quite stable. And yes, why wouldn't they add a RGB LED? I mean come on..seeing my friend's BlackBerries do a rainbow LED when receiving a text makes me jealous at the notification possibilities. Ah well.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!
I put this one through the ringer for the past day and I have to say this is amazing. I have not had 1 single failed wake since I started using it! I have the same behavior with stylus events but thats no biggie
thanks wistilt2 you are the man! |

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!
I have had problems with my phone coming back from sleep with all the recent kernels. With the 4/2 kernel, the phone just seems to lag too much on the unlock screen for me to unlock it.
The last one I had that was okay was the 3/11 kernel. This is running with both FRX05 and 6. edit: after reverting back to 3/11 I did notice that the light was green as the phone slept, and with the newer kernels the light was orange. Last edited by tli415; 04-03-2011 at 10:20 PM. |

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!
I was making an out going call and when the ringing began I got the static/cracking sound issue. Then the phone began to reboot during the call, which disconnected the call. Nothing new, just reporting the error.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!
I've heard a static / white noise sound out of my phone with the stock FRX05 and with this new kernel. The sound comes out of the speakerphone speaker on the back. If I turn the phone around and listen to the back side I can hear it.

ive had a couple of failed wakes. im still on frx05, though. IDK if that makes a difference. It was working fantastically till this morning where I've had maybe 2 or three failed wakes.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!
One minor issue with the backlight for the four front buttons. If the keyboard is open then pressing those four buttons causes their backlight to quickly strobe on the keydown event, then strobe again on the keyup event. It should behave the same when the keyboard is open or closed, but it seems the backlight is suppressed when the keyboard is open.
