So far it is great.

i agree. if camera integration could be made with this kernel id be one happy camper.

i just went back to the camera kernel cause i cant have a phone w/ a camera :( it ran perfect on this deep sleep kernel though.

Seriously, fishingmedic already said wait for the official commit and release. Otherwise, try out viruscrazy's test camera kernel and library ([UPDATED 02/23][DEV - Camera ( close to the end... ) ] Camera tests - xda-developers); it's pretty closed to the official build, unlike Tiad8's.

Had a sleep of death today on the latest (2/26) kernel. As has been noted, SYSTEM_LAST_KMESG has nothing post bootup in it (and also isn't gzipped oddly).

Put it in pocket and it was fully asleep with a solid green light. Took it out of pocket several hours later, and phone had an orange light and was unresponsive to everything. Opening keyboard and lights remained off.

Is this with the latest 2/26 one? I never had an issue with the 2/24 one. Prior to that, I did experience the super long wake (it looks dead like a SOD) but it eventually come out of it after I repeatedly pushed the power button and slide the keyboard in and out.

There was one kernel where klog was disabled. WisTilt2 said it was enabled on this newest kernel, are you on the newest kernel...? I also had others confirm that the newest kernel logging works again.

Also, to those asking about integrating camera with this kernel - it's not going to happen, so please don't ask. Cam code is getting merged into the main kernel as quickly as it can be, but let's just say we have a ton of users and only a few devs... Only so many hours in the day, and there's a lot of code that needs attention. One thing at a time, Rome wasn't built in a day. This project is 2 years in the making, so please, let's show a little patience. Thanks.

No reboots at all so far but some slow wakes. Few times the led goes orange and appears to wake the phone but the screen stays black. Push the power button again and goes back to sleep. But man o man does this baby go to sleep fast!!

 Was there more than one 2/26 one? I downloaded it about 12 hours ago.

No, don't think so. Just talked to WisTilt2, and I'm a liar. He missed something else, and logging is still disabled in this kernel. He said he'd have a new one for me tomorrow.

Just to note - I am on vaca, so I might not be as attentive as I usually am ;).

Oh, and I've noticed issues where it doesn't sleep so quickly... I haven't been able to track it down tho. I'll pass it on to WisTilt2. Seems some flag gets flipped, and instead of sleeping ASAP, it waits 30s to sleep. We'll figure it out, WisTilt2 said he also has some theories on smashing the failed wake bug once and for all.

As for SoD's, seems those are all now pointing to RIL... which sucks. But hopefully WisTilt2's radio programmer can work some magic on it!

WOW... Using latest kernel on froyo x red, OC to 768. Also using this: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/tp2-androi...il-commit.html This thing is awesome. It wakes as soon as I push the button. Also hadn't noticed the kb light and how well it works. I'm almost considering re-activating my rhod500 for awhile just to play. I kinda miss the hard kb. With all the animations turned off, it is almost as fast as my DInc. Thank you and good job everybody!
