There is another one by JB but thats a massive patch. I'll need to study it better.

ok so i got myself 1lb of fine ground coffee for this weekend. FRX7 is out and there is work to do .. I'm somewhat disappointing that the superuser app was included. I'm desperately to stay true to the aosp but. Not sure what to do now with it included.

Oo is this a problem? I think you can easily disable it... the reason being is it seemed irresponsible releasing a rooted build without su control... this way if some shady app asks for root privs, the user at least has a notification of such things.

I'll see what lmiller sais.. we can prob continue using his update that will include busybox and su.

Edit: applied all the recent patches for frx7. Kernel on autobuild is ready to boogie. http://htcdevs.wirelesstcp.net/files...nel-update.zip

Edit:

This is first test kernel. It includes everything the above one does plus the clock changes of the first commit that may have killed pm.

More to come.

finally got a taste of some gingerbread. Yesterday i was able to boot into a very popular build for the Eris. It's called OMGB and with a few mods we are able to boot into it. I love LK, i love my recovery .. i love edify..

I think i'm going to do a full port of this build.

I'd recommend looking into this one: EzGingerbread development (Dream and Sapphire) Source/Binaries - 20110716 - xda-developers

These guys have been developing on the G1 for ages, this build has a lot of good stuff in it and most GB bugs resolved.

I would love to test. I had it running before and noticed you had mad some progress and wanted to test it out. downloaded all the files and tried to flash NBH. Got to 100% then phone restarted and RUU said NBH is corrupt.

Wow ACL, are you guys planning to have a release for regular users to try out soon?
