Re: NAND Boot Testing - 03-11: FRX05 on NAND (data working again!)

...Long story short, got my old TP2 back! :) And I'm quite impressed from reading 1st post, not just Booting, but Running from NAND! Awesome!

Count me in for testing! I just downloaded the 4 files, on Monday I will report back with my findings!

EDIT: Quick question.. After it installs, can I delete/remove the andboot folder?

You can delete your andboot folder after first boot as it is not used again unless you want to update. That is where we will be putting updates and other scripts for now.

Also, a note for everyone on screen wake. Try pressing and holding the power button for a second rather than a quick tap. It seems to be more reliable for me if I hold it for a second (but not long enough that it would bring up the shutdown/airplane mode menu).

As for su, I haven't had a chance to work on it yet, but I'm hoping to have some time tonight. Ultimately, I think I need to include it in either initrd or androidupdate and then copy it over using the method ACL posted earlier.

Was time to update my infamous NRG Dec 13 rom, ya its been a while on that one... So I installed the files from first post here. install went smooth, after it setteled in Droid was running very smooth, much faster then the SD card installs, no crashes, ran a few market installs and updates. Very impressed with all your great work. After SU iss working i will probably kick WM to the curb! Whenever phone appeared to be SOD i just slid the keyboard open and panel came back on fyi.... Thanks guys :)

i've never had any of those problems bro, so it was all on your end. and yes to to waiting. if not for testing this shtuff out, there really isn't a scenario where you turn screen off, and IMMEDIATELY need to turn it back on. Use it like it's a "regular" android phone if you can...

I turn the screen off... and a phone call comes in.

There's situations, they're just rare. Lots of wake stuff still to be fixed, and the more I work on it with WisTilt2 the more mysterious and confusing it becomes :p.

Well, couldn't wait 'til Monday to test this out!

PDAnet works 100%, EasyTether works 100%, haven't tested Wifi, GPS is not working per post...

As for SU, when I ADB SHELL it is root, but the apps can't access SU? when I su it has a ~# instead of the #...No clue..but this thing rocks! I can use my phone as modem woot!!!

Sometimes I let the screen timeout on its own & come back 20 minutes later. It won't turn on. It doesn't matter what I try, it refuses to wake back up. I'm telling ya, it's a true SOD.

i just had the phone freeze with the screen on as the screen never shut off for 20 miutes and when i finally looked at it i realized it wasnt responding but so far everything sles seems pretty snappy and att just shut off my fone so i may just switch back to sprint and if so ill be glad to test data again:toothy7:

I hope that none of my posts are interpreted as whining or 'fix it for me now, I expect better than this'. I'm just reporting what I'm finding with it. I truly appreciate what everyone has done to get this project this far.
