all that stuff does sound great. that recovery pic is gorgious bro! quite amazing. I'm very curious as to what we can do bout the boot loop for me, and i would assume at least a hand full of others, because i friggin let it slip my mind tanight again and it died all the way without warning. Luckily my buddy that was over had n evo, so i popped that bat in and flashed a task29 right quick. Without nandroid, phone doesnt autoboot and create the charge loop of death.... so i'ma let it charge and prolly flash back to winmo outa fear of getting stuck with no phone for a long while again....

p.s. can't wait ta flash the recoveryinstall.tgz either way hahahahahaha

Still getting sod every time I shut it off. WiFi works, though. Can't test data. YouTube fails on WiFi. Opening maps caused reboot. Twice. Turned off gps & tried again, no reboot.

Yeah, my TP2 just slipped into a coma here as well. What is the quickest way out of it with just the phone and charger?

I am trying to let it charge for half-an-hour to see if that helps as LMiller suggested earlier. But this damn thing is making that "brrrrrppppp" sound every 10 seconds attempting to boot and is driving me crazy.

Did you want NAND flash or just be able to use Android on your phone?

If you'd just like to have a Droidexperience, then, for now, you can use the "FRX05 Bundle"... Tiad8 also has some stable variants.

If you want to be able to flash from your NAND, just go to the first post of this thread. All the information about the 4 files you need can be found there.

If you NAND flash, make sure never to let your battery completely drain out. Charge promptly. I forgot to charge and therefore, right now, my phone is in a coma.

I think something might be up with your install. I would recommend grabbing the latest files and try installing again. I am able to open Maps with GPS on and off. No problems there. Also, Youtube on data seems to be working fine for me. No wifi to test with where I am right now.

OK, you have to yank the battery when it runs out of juice, then put the battery back in, then plug in the charger. If you just plug it in without pulling the battery, it will continue to try to start and do what you are talking about. My phone dies on me just about every day thanks to the broken USB pins, and I never have an issue charging it as long as I yank the battery first, then charge it. It will vibrate a bit, but the screen should not come on. It will charge, then after about 5 minutes, I pull the battery again, put it back in, and turn it on.

no fix, it is a faulty thing our setup right now I FEEL... you need external battery charger aka n evo of another TP2... or fresh new battery :)

aight den mcnutty, i'll be more meticulous with attempt your instructions next time, but i had no luck with that either unfortunately.... In partial nand i could hold power+volDown to enter bootloader, but again, in full nand it would simply turn the light off until releasing the buttons, then continue the loop

I'm not entirely sure where the charging behavior is coming from. Windows Mobile doesn't do that, so it must be controlled by some software running from the NAND and not the IPL/SPL. It's probably handled by the kernel which means we should be able to fix that behavior, but it probably requires more time than it is worth right now.

I just got mine out of a boot loop yesterday, but I can't remember how the hell I did it....
I think maybe I plugged it in & pulled the battery, then put the battery back in without unplugging it.

That's what I'm thinking too. It behaves exactly as it did with the previous update....
Is the first post up to date with the latest files, so I can just use the links?
