Have you tried tethering via pdanet?
If you do wifi tethering..then there is a tool similar to droid explorer called QtADB

It doesn't do it over USB, PDAnet does..QtADB does messaging via wifi for now...

Re: Sending SMS's from my desktop via USB/debug/whatever
when I google and go to QtADB pages, I see FileManager with no mentioning of Messaging except for 1.0.0 that says messaging.
I'm trying EasySMS right now and it's pretty awesome... except all the adds, etc.. |

Re: Sending SMS's from my desktop via USB/debug/whatever
what's wrong with the time stamps from google voice? I use it, can't even remember what my actual cell number is most the time cause I only use and give out the google number, but the time stamps are fine when either using the voice app on the phone or using the voice webpage on my desktop or laptop
