Sending SMS's from my desktop via USB/debug/whatever
Since going to Android from winmo
I miss MyMobiler... extremely. I miss Efficasoft Mobile Express... extremely. I like tethering my phone and then sending sms's through my desktop. I've been "getting by" with gvoice, but since it doesn't give real date-stamps for SMS, it is almost useless to me. I've tried connecting a few of the different apps from droid explorer to whatever and none of them work even though I'm rooted. The closest I have come is DesktopSMS in Droid explorer which can see my contacts, but nothing ever loads and my SMS's never get sent out or added to my SMS log in my phone. Can anyone help here? |

Have you tried tethering via pdanet?
If you do wifi tethering..then there is a tool similar to droid explorer called QtADB |

when I google and go to QtADB pages, I see FileManager with no mentioning of Messaging except for 1.0.0 that says messaging.
I'm trying EasySMS right now and it's pretty awesome... except all the adds, etc.. |
Re: Sending SMS's from my desktop via USB/debug/whatever
what's wrong with the time stamps from google voice? I use it, can't even remember what my actual cell number is most the time cause I only use and give out the google number, but the time stamps are fine when either using the voice app on the phone or using the voice webpage on my desktop or laptop
