New version works on evo but seems to eat battery life. Any easy way to resolve?

i did everything step by step several times on my EVO and when i select a contact and hit menu, the video option is still greyed out. please help.

I finally got it working.

Delete any versions you have on the device now.
Download yahoo messenger from the market and install it. DO NOT OPEN IT!
Download and install the Video Add on from the Market.
Reboot your phone
Now open yahoo messenger from your apps menu and sign in.

In order for this to work for PC to Phone: the PC has to have the newest version of Yahoo Messenger installed! You can no use the one on the Yahoo mail page on the internet. It has to be the standalone app on the PC.

I havent tried EVo to Evo. I'll try it later and let you know

Ok. Do You need to be rooted to get this to work. Tried putting it on my brothers phone and it didnt work

Did anyone have any more luck with the Epic. I'm starting to get really annoyed that it's teasing me by allowing me to prompt video calls to my computer, but when I accept them on my computer it tries to connect to my phone but ends up not showing the video...If anyone finds anything out let me know because this is frustrating.
