overclock widget

What exactly is it supposed to do and what do most set it at? I downloaded it to try and improve battery life but not really helping yet

if you set it to 245 mhz while in sleep mode it saves a little bit of sleeping time battery life... but if you use the phone a lot it won't save anything for you, cause usage will still use about the same amount of battery.

It will because it adjusts the clock speed based on load. So when I read my rss feeds for example, my EVO chugs along at 385 mhz. Lower clock is lower energy consumption. Then when I turn my screen off, it goes to 245mhz.

Without this widget, it will stay at the full 1ghz all the time. I also have a JIT enabled rom with the new radio. I get about a full 24hrs out of it with 5 hrs of awake time.
