Re: Looking for a WIFI tethering app

i got it working. turns out you have to uninstall it then re-install from market or if you have the apk for 2.0.2pre14 just install from sd card. using now, and speedtest.net is way faster for some reason in a rinky-dink town. Also flashed to sprint lovers rom, don't know if that made a diff.

Re: Looking for a WIFI tethering app

Running omj 1.7 and no hotspot app to make adjustment in. Think omj removed the app.

Re: Looking for a WIFI tethering app

wifi tethering is now part of the android OS (i think 2.2) but before that I loved
'Barnacle Wifi Tether' app - thats the best wifi tethering software in my opinion, its free too (rated 5* as well) as mentioned ofcourse it requires root access. Rooting is easy anyway, you can even have apps that do it for you.
