Looking for a WIFI tethering app
 

I have searched with no results. I am trying to find an app that will let me use wifi tehering on the droid x when its available. I assumed that there were other android phones that had wifi hotspot capabilities and had a work around other than paying an extra $20-$30 a month to verizon for the wifi hotspot.

You won't find one. It will need to be rooted before any of the available WiFi tethering programs will work (except, of course, for paying Verizon).

I would like to know, the one that comed with OMJ rom forve closes when i try to use it. For now i'm using trial of pdanet.

Thanks. Will be waiting. As long as it's not wireless tether 2.0.2 (pre-14) as neither version works only FC's.

That program will only work on rooted devices such as the EVO and Droid. It will not work on the Droid X.

It's not working on my rooted evo. I was hope-n something else was going to get posted.

Its working on my rooted evo.. i got this straite from one ove the developers over at XDA.

You need to be rooted with unrevoked. Unrevoked no longer works on the EVO since the OTA. They are working on it now. Follow them at twitter/unrevoked
