Re: Swype beta. Swype review too.

I never have liked swype. I suppose it is because I am picky and dont like errors in my texts. I find it an extreme pain in the arse to do words with too letters at the end, ie. too, well, off.....etc. I know, you are supposed to wiggle on the last letter, still a pain in the rear.

WARNING: Texting while driving is not suggested but everyone knows it happens.

I type with one hand mostly and while I dont condone full stories or speeches while driving, sometimes you just have to let someone know something quickly. SWYPE sux at this.

Guys, keep your eyes open for a new keyboard that should be coming out soon. Its called SwiftKey. It isnt a swype-esque keyboard but a keyboard that predicts your next word by learning your texting style. Still Beta but was really cool to use.

I 100% disagree with you, I think swype is perfect for short and sweet texts, because you can whip them out instantaneously..

Also, I don't like shapewriter, and most people who compare prefer swype. I say check out both.

Re: Swype beta. Swype review too.

Does anyone have a way to install it on the Diamond? I have a Swype beta invitation sitting in my mailbox on my Gmail. (I mean XDANDROID) It said it wasn't supported by my device.

Re: Swype beta. Swype review too.

My problem with swype on the Android platform is that when it gets a word wrong you have to go back and delete it versus the windows mobile version where you can click on the word and have it bring up different similarly spelled words. Enough for me to go back to the regular keyboard on my incredible. Anyone have the same problem?

Re: Swype beta. Swype review too.

is there a way to share the swype dictionary with the htc android kb? i tend to switch between the 2 here and there and the custom words i enter in the swype kb does not appear on the htc kb and vice versa. kinda annoying. would be great if they can share the same dictionary pool.
