Re: Slingplayer Mobile for Android releasing tomorrow! 6/22

ok finally got this loaded up. i have to say i am extremely disappointed with this software. compared to the ipod/iphone and even windows mobile this software ****ing blows. how the hell can you not have a favorites option anymore? that is probably the most important option to have in my opinion and its gone. no more channel logos to click on and go immediately to that channel who in their right mind would get rid of this feature. if its there, i can't find it anywhere and i've read the entire help file. the software is just so much worse i can't believe they call this an improvement. soooooo disappointed and yes i had to pay these ****suckers another $30 license fee for a $300 box.

i actually think they are horrible at coming out with updates. there were very few updates for the windows slingplayer and hte ipod version has had 2 updates. i just cannot believe how they could not have favorites when every other release does. its a very important feature as far as i'm concerned since its not like its the easiest thing in the world to type in each channel number. swiping back and forth is nowhere near as good either.

Has anyone tried slingplayer with HDMI out ?

****ing hell...now its confirmed that HDMI out doesn't work either with slingplayer. god this blows.

No HDMI out? Is that something Sling could implement in the future or is that an Android software thing? Who's to blame there?

yeah, but don't you need a real fast upload speed. I have road runner and the upload speed is only .36MBPS..............that is not enought to stream video over the internet. What are other internet provider that have an upload speed of 5mbps?
