thich buttons

has anybody had success with the program thick buttons, or really any keyboard replacements for that matter, I'm running stock sprint 2.1 i couldn't get it to work with 1.5 either. I have tried to install several diffrent keyboard layouts and don't have anyluck with any. i havent read the phone needs to be rooted in order to use them but what do i know

I've never heard good things about the thick button keyboard so I've never even tried it. I am, however, using the "Better Android Keyboard" which I've found to work pretty well...for me better than the stock keyboard. I believe it is a buck or two to buy but remember if you don't like it you can always uninstall it within (30 days??) for a full refund.
