I'd refer you to my post from eartlier toniight, 6 up from this: if they get the phone back and determine that there is nothing wrong with it, you will be charged up to $125. Rest assured though; those white spots will only get worse over time and it is a known design problem with these phones. Sprint will not disallow your return just because it has white spots on the screen. If that's your only problem and you're happy with the phone, then why go through all of this amyway?

First off - have you tried a soft-reset first? You don't lose all your data with a soft-reset. Secondly, you're talking about upgrading your handset, so you need to have it for at least a year for that to happen. Even after two years you won't get a free upgrade, you would only get $200 bucks off the price. This thread is specifically for returning defective handsets and finding out that most of them are being replaced with the Touch Pro. If a software update doesn't take care of your issue (you didn't specify which ROM you have) then go to page 2 of this thread and about half-way down there is a link to a Sprint site that sets up your return online.
