Re: GPS Upgrade Fails Phone Possibly Bricked Please Help

I did something very similar to my phone on Saturday. My laptop decided to get flaky and kill my usb in the middle of the antenna install. My phone was stuck on the Alltel logo at boot and when I booted to the bootloader and tried to run the Alltel stock firmware from Windows it would only go a few percent and then fail. I had to extract the nbh firmware file from the alltel exe file, copy it to an SD card and then start the phone in bootloader mode. Thankfully this worked and it put the phone back to factory operation. Here is what I had to do:

PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS HOWEVER BEFORE UPGRADING!!!!!!!!
* You MUST have either a stock bootloader or a re-locked bootloader for this to work properly. otherwise, you'll get crashes during the upgrade process. The installer seems a little flakey, so just remember to have the titan_exitbl app if you get stuck in bootloader mode. then, just boot back into your old ROM and try again. you'll get there, mine failed four times before I got it right.
*search for ImCoKeMaN's re-locker on this forum to find the relocker SPL with accompanying titan_exitbl app.
I chose to install everything first (Sprint customizations), and then I did a hard reset and skipped the customizations. I also upgraded my PRL by downloading the 60611.prl file and using ##PRL# function to install it.
EDIT by ImCoKeMaN:
The old unlocker doesn't work with this rom, get the update here:

If you only want the essentials and to remain unlocked you might want to check out this post by shadowmite:

I have found that if you have issues where your device seems to be bricked and stuck in bootloader before completion of the update you can fix it by flashing via SD card.
To do this there are 3 steps:
First take the .exe file and open it with winrar. There will be a file 3.16.....nbh extract that and rename it to TITAIMG.nbh
Next format a microSD card with FAT 32 (required most are fat16 default) and copy the file TITAIMG.nbh to the root of the sd card with a card reader.
Finally place sdcard in device and reset into bootloader mode. The flash will proceed from the SD card and it should work fine. Enjoy!
End ImCoKeMaN Edit
Today I was able to get the radio updated and running no2chem's 6.1 using the information here:
