Because on mine, the top part is too flexible to "crack".
It actually bends and would probably stretch and tear before ever "cracking".
I have the case sold on eBay and it says "new material", so maybe Boxwave is selling a previous or different "material"...
Also, yours says "rubberized" version, while mine says "silicone"
