Romtest of Tommyr
Let me first say I like your rom alot
so thanks for letting me test out the rom.
I flashed the 88 rom & ran that for a few days.
Grafics are top notch & well highly polished.
That being said, you forgot about skinning the "volume".
I made one you can copy from as an example of using a thin center bar in volume to help see total available vloume.
U prob wanna reskin the colors. Posting my "Frost volume".
The color arrows on the "dialer"phone history is sweet & on pic, adds life to screen.
In comparison, the HTC "call history" suks big time, being all totally greyed out with no photos.
On the Sense slider tabbar, the pictur tab has what looks like a camera lens on the icon, that can be confused as a unread count that the ms tab mail tabs have.
Memory was good, but Battery drain was excessive.
I used acb power meter (posting) to find out that the problem was it not dropping below 200mma & nevr below 160ma.
Installed the sprint dll cab (posting)and now it goes down at times to around 66ma like it should.
My only blunder was to not reset before cab install to see if a reset would hav solved it as well.
The slider tab icons and topbar icons grafically match in their partial white edging, giving that 3d bulge effect, ...
BUT, the progam icons, when you press start, they all have that solid white border which forces you to "look inside" and seems to take away from the shading & relections in iconns as they do not visually bulge out..
The weather animations, while I realize cannot be as fast as a 2.1Sense, they only hesitate occasionally only on homescreen.
Sometimes I got a black screen when switching from one thing to another, but only real problem I had was a mistake call that didnt hangup when I pressed the silver real end button.
I quikly resset to stop call... Yea I drilled a hole for that!
Installed TeleNav is an excellent choice as Telenav is always better than stock Sprint, with more features and better viewing of "next" turn on top of screen instead of bottom.
Surprising to note that I did not need to install the sprint Nav version because it does not have the problem of expireing suddenly & needing a sprint install.
GPS activity is good with battery drain of 10% in half hour.
Native system alarms not as loud as they could be.
thats all for now, moving onto the new Sprint rom and see if it can be as good as overall this rom is!
Posting cabs now:
