SMS contact search

Hey everybody, i'm having this wierd thing happening that whenever i go to make a new text message and start typing in the contact name it doesn't change contacts like it should, its like it gets stuck on the first name. However when i use the software keyboard the search function works fine. Any ideas? I spent and hour straight searching for an answer to this, thanks in advance

yea i am having this problem and it is annoying, i just hit menu and add recipent because typing a person's contact is doesnt work at all, i noticed this after i synced my outlook mail to my phone, i think i am gonna try deleting everyone from my contacts and have it look for them thru outlook.
