How do I factory format this phone? Need to start from scratch.

So I've used Syndicate and RandomRom. I've installed them over and over from the stock EC05 Rom, but each time after about a week the phone will randomly reboot and get caught at the startup animation. Upon successful reboot I'll get continuous Force Closes. Journaling is ON.

1. I use the Android "Downloading" screen to flash to the stock ROM, wipe data and cache and dalvik over and over.

2. I re-download the Syndicate and RandomRoms to make sure they're not corrupt.

3. I flash CWM Purple to root the stock ROM.

4. Install the custom roms and do more cache/data/dalvik wiping.

5. After a week or so I get the FCs mentioned above.

WTF is wrong with this phone?

Is there something that is NOT being wiped entirely when I flash to the stock ROM? This whole FC thing and then ROM re-install has happened literally 8 times.

best way to start from scratch is odin stock rom + re-partition with pit + check almost all the checkboxes

What gten posted should give you a factory reset which is what your looking for.
Also @gTen isnt there a whole in the back of the phone by the camera which has a button you can press with a small point that will reset your phone?

Re: How do I factory format this phone? Need to start from scratch.

I've *been* resetting and going back to stock using Odin.

I use this pit:

victory_8G_100528.pit

and I flash to this ROM:

SPH-D700-EB13-8Gb-REL.tar.md5

and I let the phone upgrade to EC05 OTA.

I have PDA, Re-Partition, Auto Reboot, and F. Reset Time checked when I flash back to stock.

Despite this, I always end up getting FC loops when I use a custom ROM. I'm going to use just the stock ROM for a few weeks and see if I get looping FCs.

you should look into that whole behind the phone right next to the camera i remember many posted that it would reset your phone. Also look at the wiki

That reset hole is not a complete reset.

Might as well try Gingerbread! I'm on this ROM as of today, so far, Very Good!
[ROM][EI22][ERA] Legendary ROM Beta.3.1 | NoCIQ - 11/11 - xda-developers

You can flash the EI22 modem using CWM and the zip file found here:
[Modem] [Odin] [ACS] EI22!!, EH17, EH06, EG22, EF02/EF10, EE03, EC05, EB13, DK28 - xda-developers
