Trouble Sending Mail w/Outlook

I setup my new work email account on my 700WX and I receive messages just fine, but I can't send anything. When I try to send or reply, this is the response I get:

From: System Administrator

Invalid message recipients

Your message 'Test' was not sent and has been moved to the drafts folder.

the following recipients are invalid: ****@gmail.com (or whatever the address may be)

Everything seems to be marked the same on the Palm as it is on my desktop. Am I missing something somewhere?

smtp.nycap.rr.com

I have it setup the same as my Outlook on my desktop is. The only thing that may be causing it is that i do not have it checked for authentication. The only reason I didn't is because on my desktop this is unchecked as well.

Road runner will not forward mail from any computer not connected through RR - so that's your problem - happens to all RR subscribers who travel. You need another mail account for sending. I think even gmail would work.

Ok, using my Gmail outgoing settings I got it to send, but now it shows up as being sent from my gmail account, which I don't want. What are my options for getting it to reply through my work account?

This is not really a fix, but I have seen a number of emails from people in similar straits who basically put an explanation into their mobile signature explaining why the gmail address, etc. is needed and reminding people to reply to the business address.
Long term solution - Exchange Server baby...
