Undo/Revert from a ROM?

I have not ever put a ROM on my phone, but I really want to do the NFSFAN 6.5 rom on vx6900. I am wondering is there any sort of undoing of this if I: 1. don't like it, 2. don't need it, or 3. need to take my phone into verizon for any reason?

Please let me know. I'd love to give it a try, but I'm hesitant! Thanks.

Let's answer these questions, shall we?

1. There are many custom ROMs for the VX6900 in the Upgrades forum, so if you don't like it, you can always flash a different ROM

2. Same answer as #1

3. Here's where things get tricky. Verizon has not released an official ROM through HTC yet, and, unless I am mistaken, nobody has posted the official ROM (ripped or otherwise) here yet. So if you needed to send your phone in to Verizon and they see a different ROM on there, they may refuse service.

I'm with Sprint, so I'm not really "in the know" when it comes to Verizon, so if somebody else out there has a better answer, please post it!

though this may not help search google for verizons stock rom that's where I found sprints its also a relief knowing you can use your insurance you pay for (by flashing back before you send it in)

Re: Undo/Revert from a ROM?

Try this link for the stock rom:
http://www.pcdphones.com/phone_downl...zon%20Wireless
Click "Software Upgrade" link on the right side of the website and a dropdown menu will show a link that says download.
They keep the newest official stock verizon rom there.
Along with stock roms for other carriers for the vogue.
Just one of the many sites that came up on google.

And just be warned, I constantly flash my phone from one rom to the next.
It's addicting to customize your phone.

I'd be extremely careful doing that!!
I've read here and at xda-developers that basically the only way of "bricking" your phone is going to a rom with a gps radio, and then trying to flash back to a rom with a non gps radio.
So I would advise to you not to do that ruthless.

And to OP,
do as you want.
I say go to wm6.5,
check it out,
if you don't like it,
there's plenty of 6.1 roms here and at xda-developers.com that are available. I've used the majority of the 6.1 roms available, and I had just got my phone all set up, and then 6.5 started getting cooked into vogue roms, so I've been busy trying to customize my rom I have now.
On top of customizing my friend's touch pro.
I'm personally eagerly awaiting the touch pro2's release in May sometime.

Re: Undo/Revert from a ROM?

Oh and NFSFAN's rom at xda-developers has gps.
I don't know where you got the idea that there's no gps available on 6.5.

Re: Undo/Revert from a ROM?

so is my best bet to update to NFSFAN rom 6.5 from OEM VZW rom to follow these steps (With NFSFAN rom @ step 5)?:

1] Unlock with 0.40.coke
[2] Flash Sprint ROM RUU_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_1.12.651.1_2.13.00_SPC_NV133_ Ship DO NOT LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN
[3] Unlock with 2.31.coke
[4] Flash Verizon ROM RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship DO NOT LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN
[5] Flash any custom rom
[6] Do the agps fix on xda (if you want the stock rom do this before step 5)
