Re: Question for Seasoned Chefs.
sounds like an easy way would be to allow customizations, but not have anything actually occur in them. Remember it does need to make sure that whatever makes it reset gets removed from the startup procedure after it runs once though. Since customizations already do that seems the easiest. Just edit the config.txt.

Re: Question for Seasoned Chefs.
I haven't done any cooking, so I hope I don't waste your time by posting here. Just want to help...
In typical desktop Windows, there is a "run once" key in the registry. Does CE/WM have a similar key? In that case, one would simply need to call a "reset" app under that key. I can have one of my developers look through MSDN on Monday if the problem is not resolved. The other idea--can you make the last step of the customization (I presume it is a script) to invoke a reset routine or reset application? Best of luck. Looking forward to 3.x. |

Re: Question for Seasoned Chefs.
Couldn't you jsut have it run something like PPST.exe, since its usually run once anyway?

Re: Question for Seasoned Chefs.
What is the purpose of this?
The easiest way by far is to let autorun do it, as ImCoKeMaN suggested.

Re: Question for Seasoned Chefs.
And this is inevitably what I ended up doing. The purpose of having my ROM soft-reset was to solve initial boot issues.
