Pretty much all HTC devices use the same 5v 1000mAh chargers, Similar to most Creative MP3 players too!

motorola chargers can work, but I think they are 700mAh so they can be a bit iffy...

Its all in the power ratings on the power brick itself, and usually somewhere on the phone and in the manual...

the motorola mini-usb chargers will work as well, it just take slightly longer to get to a full charge. I'm using a generic mini-usb car charger i bought for $1 and it works; just takes longer to charge up.

As Shaska points out the key here is Miliamps.

If your input is low, it will take longer to charge the battery. If its too high you could damage the battery or handset.

I use a DC USB adaptor for several devices then use generic USB cables as charging cables when i charge in car.

Your AC adaptor is 5V 1A so you need to keep it under that.

Actually the tag on the 6900 charger lists 6900, 6800 and 6700.

Anything 5V down to 500mA works, since that's the USB spec.

I use a Motorola RAZR V3 charger which is 5V 500mA and it works fine, just charges significantly slower is all, great for overnight charge. Less heat on the battery during charge.
