tv out used as monitor

is it possible to use the tv out function as a monitor for programs on the phone. As in using word or opera.....computer crashed and just looking for something to use with larger screen until new computer arrives.

no, because the video out uses RCA's. unless your screen has RCA's on it.

thats what tv out is for... you're gonna have to find a way to connect it though.

You need the tv out cable to hook to your tv to display your phones display to your tv. If you dont have a tv out cable you can use your touch pros multi adapter that came with your phone along with a 3.5mm to rca cable like this http://www.amazon.com/Macally-Audio-.../dp/B000GGQ2ZU and using this registry hack method: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=59236

If hooked up to a computer its a monitor

and technically the TP is a computer, so a screen hooked up to view the graphical output of the TP might be called a monitor

I do know if he gets it working I want to hear about it, that could be cool!

Why, because you dont have one. Many tvs are also monitors these days.

actually, no, i dont. i have a laptop so my monitor doesnt have any connections other than an output.

*Shrug* all of my monitors have RCA in. I would guess that most recent larger screen LCDs would have them as they are often used as TVs as well.
