Desicion about Flashing Roms

I need you guys to help me make an important decision... I need to know if flashing a new rom (it'll probably be Conflippers TP rom) will help with the heating issues of the Pro.

It's a known issue I know, but sometimes my pro stops charging if it gets too hot. I heard somewhere that there were custom roms out there that could stop the Pro from getting really hot. Is this the case, and if so, which roms help that?

And another thing; when I flashed my Vogue to a new rom, the camera quality decreased permanently and wouldn't return to normal no matter what I did (hard reset, flashed back stock, etc.), and is still like that right now. Is anything like that gonna happen to my Pro?

im stock and running a ton of apps and i pull the backcover off while charging and i can go from deadnutz to full charge while surfing, it helps a ton.

Hmmm... so I may not need to flash to a new rom at all then, huh? That's a good idea! Kinda wish I didn't have to do it, but I'll admit it's a fix I can live with.

im not saying dont flash, theres tons of +s for flashing, just an option for charging. also slide keyboard out, lots of heat stored there also.

Okay, maybe I can stick with sliding out the keyboard when charging until I find out more about how other Touch Pros respond to flashing.

I really don't wanna cripple my phone like I did the Vogue. And the crazy part is, the rom that hurt the camera quality was the official 6.1 Alltel release...

I too am running the sock rom on mine. I just slide the keyboard out to allow the phone to cool faster.
As Darren says there's plenty of good reasons to flash a new rom. I've already downloaded Conflipper's, Juggalo's & GC14(xda-dev) ROMs but haven't flashed any yet. Report back if you decide to do it & it helps.

make sure your phone is unlocked and that u use a gsm version if ur phone is gsm and cdma if it is cdma
