Stuck on 1xRTT

Hello-
-two nights ago the phone locked up while doing a sprite backup
-the next morning the phone locked up again and would not boot past the sprint animation
-I ended up doing a hard reset and reloading a "good" sprite backup
Now however the phone will not pick up an EVDO signal- it just stays on 1xRTT- I have obviously noticed a degradation in my internet speed and also noticed a drop (significant) in battery life
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I can't tell if you had evdo after the hard reset but my guess is yes(before the Sprite restore). Do another and only restore your contacts, Install your program one at a time dude, you should be good. keeping in mind to watch your internet after installing each app.

thanks for the help- I ended up using ##778# and re-entered my number and rebooted- for whatever reason this fixed the problem
