Re: Internet Sharing DEBOCLE
Debacle dude , that is bull man. Most of us here are running ICS one way or another, I saw a thread about Ics working with a Mac, as for me I am using it with Vista. Calling Sprint is a hit or miss, in your case definitely a miss..let me look up the Mac thread for ya
Start here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...et+sharing+mac what issues are you running to? errors? can you describe where the ICS fails? Last edited by HBOOT; 12-18-2008 at 09:01 PM. |

Re: Internet Sharing DEBOCLE
Don't quote me on this b/c I don't use a MAC. However, I think I remember reading a post a while back somewhere that the regular tethering hack worked. You just have to use bluetooth to connect and not usb.
CAB File here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...64&postcount=1 If you get it working please post back and let us know. EDIT: When they told you that you had to switch plans....I know you said your on simply everything, but is a family plan by chance??

Re: Internet Sharing DEBOCLE
I bet you anything this is a configuration issue.
However, if you read the fine print there is a 5GB/month cap on data for the Simply Everything plan. |

Re: Internet Sharing DEBOCLE
there is only a 5gb limit on PAM(phone as modem), and the air cards at 59.99/month. you can use as much data as you want on your phone as long as sprint thinks its only going on to your phone and not being used as a modem to a laptop. there are plenty of things on here that can make your computer use the phone as modem without subscribing to a PAM plan.

Re: Internet Sharing DEBOCLE
I haven't tried it with a mac, but I used the tethering fix in the "Touch Pro Essentials" Sticky. Have you tried that? All I have to do after that is start ICS, make sure it's USB, click connect, THEN hook up the USB cable.
If your computer can sync your contacts etc. with the phone normally, this should work too. |
