Touch Pro 2 not vibrating on new e-mail when screen off

I have searched endlessly since I got this phone for a fix for this. I have new e-mail notifications set to play a sound, flash the led, and display the message window. The problem happens when the phone is set to vibrate. When the screen is off (standby) I get a new email, but the phone will not vibrate as it should (led will blink and message will download). It works fine for text/sms messages but not e-mails. I tried checking the "vibrate" box on the messaging drop down box and this will make the alert work when the screen is off but then it will vibrate all of the time (even when I have the ringer set to audible tones.)

Is there a registry fix or a hotfix anyone is aware of?

This happens to me too, although sometimes the phone will vibrate on a new email and sometimes not. Seems to work fine with new SMS messages.

Make sure you exit out of the email program (i.e. close it with X button so its no longer in memory) then test to see if it will vibrate with a new message.
EDIT- Actually I have the same problem- had forgotten I had checked the "vibrate" box on the messaging drop down box so it vibrates all of the time (even when I have the ringer set to audible tones.)

I just tried this out and my push hotmail stopped working for some reason. I know there is the Messenger Online status bug, but i dont get any messages even if I sync it manually.

Re: Touch Pro 2 not vibrating on new e-mail when screen off

I have tried nearly everything possible as far as checking and unchecking boxes withing the sounds and notifications menu. The problem has been narrowed to ONLY when the phone is set to vibrate and ONLY when the screen is off. Every other notification for e-mails works fine (audible/LED) whether the screen is off or on.

Also, I notice the phone will not "wake up" on new emails as it does with new text messages. This was the same on my Touch Pro but the phone would still vibrate the notification when set to.
