It works fine for text/sms messages but not e-mails. I tried checking the "vibrate" box on the messaging drop down box and this will make the alert work when the screen is off but then it will vibrate all of the time (even when I have the ringer set to audible tones.)

Is there a registry fix or a hotfix anyone is aware of?
Make sure you exit out of the email program (i.e. close it with X button so its no longer in memory) then test to see if it will vibrate with a new message.
EDIT- Actually I have the same problem- had forgotten I had checked the "vibrate" box on the messaging drop down box so it vibrates all of the time (even when I have the ringer set to audible tones.)
