Touch Pro 2 overheat issues?

This one is for the hardcore TP2 owners.

I am a current TP1 owner and the one thing I cant stand is the following:

1) Battery running dead while plugged instreaming audio because of overheating
2) Battery running dead while plugged in while making the TP an access point
3) Battery running dead while plugged in using GPS
3) Battery running dead while looking at the TP because it starts to get warm

Basically I want a device that if I leave plugged in I can stream audio all day at work and if needed have the TP2 be an access point while on trips, etc.

The TP1 dies on me if I am streaming Sirius or anything else on the internet while plugged in and it 100 percent ANNOYING.

How does the TP2 handle these tasks?

Re: Touch Pro 2 overheat issues?

the tp2 definantly doesnt heat up like the tp1, but i have had it stop charging on me once while streaming youtube in hq, it didnt get hott like the tp1, but it was warm, granted it was by the stove on full so the extra heat it was generating didnt help....i have streamed youtube whule charging away from the stove or a hott day and it would charge just fine....

Re: Touch Pro 2 overheat issues?

Would definitely like to hear more feedback to these questions.

A few more questions would be regarding whether the keyboard pauses still, if the system chokes out sometimes when opening or closing the keyboard, if the 5.3 hours of talk time is accurate, and what is the battery life using data?

I've had 2 TP1's since Day -1 (Best Buy sold them early). I've had both replaced multiple times for many progressive issues. I honestly wish I hadn't traded in one of them for overheating issues because everything else on that one was perfect, but the other has always given multiple issues.

I'm contemplating switching back to my Apache because that thing (woman used to call it "The Brick") has taken many licks and kept on ticking without a single glitch. Just doesn't look very pretty with all the paint chipped, cracked, and rubbing off. Then I'll swap my TP for a refurb and sell it for 150$.

Other idea I'm contemplating is waiting until the TP2 becomes the Self-Service replacement for the TP1 (like the TP1 became for the Mogul). My guess is that it'll take about 3 months for that to happen.

search the threads, theres plenty on it, phone is amazing in every way possible,
battery is awesome, no lag or hesitations, phone performs better than any custom roms that were for the tp1, that being said i thank all the chefs for making the tp1 not as big of piece of crap that stock was....
