Re: stuck in headphone mode

Same thing happens to me sometimes... just put the stereo-mini plug back in, spin it around a couple times and remove quickly.... repeat as needed.

Exactly as he said. Or just skip spinning and pull in and out till it works again

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

try leaving the jack in, soft reset, pull jack out, another soft reset

worked for me sometimes when the continuous plugging in and unplugging didnt work.
I think its all a crap shoot and it goes away when it wants to...mine stuck that wayfor 2 days once.

Re: stuck in headphone mode

sounds crazy, but try to dip just the very tip of your jack in rubbing alcohol and then sliding it in and out a few times.

Re: stuck in headphone mode

this happens because the 3.5 jack is designed for a 4 pin microphone headset. which should be backwards compatable with standard 3 pin jacks but for whatever reason the jack clogs up and the pins bind, telling the phone that something is still plugged in, when it really isn't. you can reset it manually with a small jewelers pick to move the contact back out
